BUDGAM, JANUARY 2: The Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today inaugurated a winter coaching center to provide free coaching to students of the district Budgam.
During her visit to coaching centre, established at Middle School, Khanpora, the DC interacted with trainers and teachers to enquire about the process and status of teaching.During her inspection to classrooms, the DC interacted with students and parents, who called upon her and took feedback from them about the arrangements and facilities being provided at these coaching centers. She also enquired about the process of training and teaching provided by the trainers, hired from outside State.
The DC directed the concerned to ensure
proper heating as well as seating arrangements, besides quality education to
the students at every coaching center.
On the occasion, the DC was informed
that 10 free coaching centers have been started across the district Budgam to
provide basic math coaching from 3rd standard to 8th standard students. Presently, over 1000 students mostly underprivileged, who can’t afford coaching during winters, are being taught math and other subjects at these centers. Two math trainers from Telangana have been hired to train local teachers and supervise the overall functioning of these coaching centers.
The locals expressed their gratitude to
the DC Budgam for opening these free coaching centers in the district and
arranging all the required arrangements for their wards at these centers.
They said that such coaching centers
were need of the hour and have helped their wards to learn maths to very extent and other subjects too without paying any fee to anyone. Among others, District Education Planning Officer, Farooq Ahmad Raina, Zonal Education Officer, Zone Budgam, Samiya Geelani were also present on th occasion.
