Bandipora, May 02, CNS: The Emergency Medical Staff deployed on recently launched “108 Ambulance Service” in District Hospital Bandipora managed delivery of a pregnant lady, while on her way to Maternity LD Hospital Srinagar.

According to Current News Service – CNS, a 28 year old pregnant lady Zareena Begum W/O Showkat Ahmad Khan, resident of a remote village Kudara of Bandipora district, was brought to the DH Bandipora at around 02:30 Pm today after she suffered cycles of labour pain.

Observing her condition the doctor concerned called the EMS 108, where it’s coordinator Irfan Yousuf sounded an alert to his staff and the lady was immediately shifted to Srinagar.

While on way to Srinagar she suffered terrible cycles of labour pain and the emergency staff of 108 Ambulance Service of DH Bandipora parked the vehicle along roadside at Sheltang and managed her delivery in the ambulance itself .

Thus the timely step taken by the vigilant staff turned to be a life saviour for the lady and her baby, after the successful management of the delivery of the lady, who was later taken to LD hospital Srinagar.

The family members of the said lady have lauded the role of the Medical staff on duty in the Ambulance Service and have expressed their gratitude towards the whole staff posted at DH Bandipora for their timely intervention.

Meanwhile, an official from DH Bandipora told CNS that they are working tirelessly to help the people through this service as Bandipora comprises of many remotest areas. (CNS)
