Ganderbal 06 Dec (KNZ):District Mineral Officer Ganderbal (DMO) Er Zulfikar Mohd Shafi and his team with the help of Ganderbal Police has seized 11 vehicles used in illegal mining and transportation of raw materials from different areas of Ganderbal during the raids from last two days.
A team of officials from Geology and Mining Department Ganderbal laid a crackdown at various locations of Ganderbal including Lar,Yangoora,Safapora,Kangan and adjoining areas and seized 11 vehicles including 8 tractors and 3 tippers for illegal mining and transporting illegally.
When Kashmir News Zone-KNZ contacted DMO Ganderbal he said,these vehicles were being used in illegal mining, extraction, transportation of raw materials illegally extracted during this operation.
He told that all of his staff has been put on alert to monitor illegal mining that has been looting the public resources.
He further said that all the illegal mining cases would be dealt with under the rules and all the things against the violators would be done by a FastTrack system.
The operation against the illegal mining and transporting is going on in different areas of the Ganderbal district. KNZ
