Ganderbal:118 Bn paid tribute to 42 CRPF soldiers martyred in Pulwama including two Jawans of 118 Bn on their third anniversary.
Pulwama Martyrs Day was observed by 118 Bn CRPF (Gund) on 14th February 2022 to mark supreme sacrifice made by 42 CRPF personnel in an attack by militants at Pulwama (J&K), on the same day during the year 2019.
Wreath was laid on Shaheed Smarak and photographs of Shaheed HC/Crypto Narayan Lal Gurjar & Shaheed CT/GD Mahesh Kumar of this Unit who were among those 42 to attain martyrdom.
Commandant took this opportunity to narrate gallant sacrifice of those martyrs who laid down their lives in selfless duty towards their motherland and exhorted officers and personnel to steadfastly adhere to their steps and assimilate the essence and spirit of soldering.
In the memory of bravehearts Ration and Blankets was distributed to needy people of adjacent villages.
