Any person found indulging in illegal mining,will take strict action against him under law:DMO Ganderbal Er Zulfikar Mohd Shafi

Ganderbal 24 July (KNZ):Acting tough against illegal miners in Ganderbal District , Geology and Mining Department through its team of officials, headed by District Mineral Officer Ganderbal Er Zulfikar Mohd Shafi conducted late evening raids during the intervening night of 23 and 24 July.
During the raids,17 vehicles including 14 Tippers and 3 tractor found involved in illegal mining extraction transportation of raw materials.
DMO Ganderbal Er Zulfikar Mohd Shafi talking to Kashmir News Zone-KNZ said that We have seized 14 tippers and 3 tractors during night hours with the help of Ganderbal police,these vehicles were being used in illegal mining, extraction, transportation of raw materials.
“we are trying to curb mining that is taking place during the wee hours and night hours,” he said,
He said our staff has been put on alert to monitor illegal mining that has been looting the public resources.
He further said that all the illegal mining cases would be dealt with under the rules and all the things against the violators would be done by a FastTrack system.
He also appealed drivers to purchase minerals from legal sources only and stay away from illegal mining practices.KNZ
