Srinagar Oct 25 [KNZ]: Vehicular traffic came to halt from early in the morning today after family members and neighbours of a 14-year-old boy, who was allegedly kidnapped near his home in Awantipora village yesterday, staged a road roko on Tral- Awantipora road demanding swift police action to find the child.
According to the family members , The said boy namely Muneez Ahmad Mir of Kanjinag village in Awantipora, was last seen before Maghrib prayers near his home on Tuesday evening.
The family members and neighbours of child while chanting slogans, blocked Tral-Awantipora road , demanding immediate rescue of missing boy Muneez Ahmad Mir.
Meanwhile, Awantipora police has reached to the spot and assured protesters that police will try their best to find the child.
“We are looking into this matter and have launched a hunt to find the child,” Police said.
