Ganderbal 15 Jan (KNZ):34 Assam rifles Wussan battalion along with Mega Engineering and infrastructure Limited staff,Police and SDRF launched jointly rescue operation after 2 Avalanches hit Sarbal village of sonamarg in Ganderbal District last two days.
Commander Birigeader Atul Rajput 3 sector ,34 Assam rifles Commandant Col Karakoti along with other army officials today wee hours in morning launched rescue operation in sarbal on cold wave to evacuate the workers and have been shifted to safer place
In this operation army rescued 172 workers of construction company and 2 sniffer dogs also on job in this operation
Project manager Harpal Singh said we have already work stopped till weather improve and we have evacuated 172 workers with the help of Army ,Police and SDRF and forwarded to safer place
Meanwhile,Two labourers died when avalanche hit Mega Engineering infrastructure Limited at Sarbal baltal on Thursday.KNZ
