Srinagar, Aug 31, KDC: Dead body of a 27-year old man from Jammu was found in mysterious conditions at his rented residence in Srinagar’s cantonment area early Monday morning, police said.
The deceased was identified as Vinay Kumar Chand son of Krishan Kumar Chand of Jammu, whose dead body was recovered by police from his rented accommodation at Indira Nagar of Sonwar area of Srinagar in the early hours of Monday.
While confirming the recovery of the dead body, police officials told news agency Kashmir Dot Com- (KDC) that it has been sent for medical formalities, while a case has been registered under relevant laws.
“Preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased might have committed suicide”, they added.
“We cannot rule out other possibilities and are looking into those possibilities as well,” they said.
Meanwhile police are investigating the reasons behind the death of Vinay Kumar and are collecting necessary information regarding the case from locals. (KDC)
