Ganderbal 18 Feb (KNZ) :Geology and Mining Department under the supervision of District Mineral Officer Ganderbal Er Zulfikar Mohd Shafi seized three vehicles including 2 tractors and 1 tipper in Ganderbal which were involved in illegal extraction and transportation minor mineral from Ganderbal district.
DMO Er Zulfikar Mohd Shafi said we have seized 3 vehicles under section 21(4) of the Mines and Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act. 1957 at various spots in Ganderbal including Manigam, Watlar and Thueru
DMO Ganderbal also said that the Department will not allow such unlawful activities.
He further warned that if any person found indulging in illegal mining the Department will take strict action against him under law.(KNZ)
