Srinagar Oct 17 [KNZ]: Protest erupted in Panzinara area of Srinagar district against alleged braid chopping incident in the area on Tuesday.Protesters mostly women blocked Bandipora Srinagar Highway and disrupted the traffic to protest against the braid chopping of a woman late last night.
A local said a braid of women (name with held) was chopped off last night by unknown persons.
Protesters were raising slogans and demanding the arrest of the culprit.
Meanwhile, a protest shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Pulwama against a braid chopping incident in the town.
Hair of a 50 year old woman was chopped off at Dangerpora last evening.
Witness said that scores of youth pelted stones forcing shutdown.
