Srinagar, Aug 17 (KNC): Four days after drowning in river Jhelum, body of a 14-year-old boy, from Assam, was retrieved on Saturday.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that a rescue operation was launched on August 13, shortly after a minor boy was reported to have drowned in river Jhelum, while taking bath at Donipora Sangam.

“After several days of arduous efforts, the body of the boy namely Muneer ul Islam, son of Babu Ali, from Tipu Mari Assam was retrieved,” said the official.

“The body of the boy has been sent to SDH Bijbehara for medical and legal formalities,” the official added. (KNC)
