Ganderbal 02 June【KNZ】:43 years old man who was missing from his home since may 31, was found dead on Saturday afternoon in Chanduna area of Ganderbal,police said.
He has been identified as Mohd Yousuf Khanday S/O Gh. Ahmad Khanday resident of Shallabugh area of Ganderbal,he had been missing from his home in the Shallabugh Ganderbal was found dead on Saturday a little more than a mile from his home, Sources said.
Locals sources said that Haji left home on 31May for some work at Jammu Kashmir Bank Branch Gandarbal since then didn’t return back and on Saturday evening his dead body was found from a drain in his locality at Shalbugh area.
When Kashmir News Zone Contacted SHO Kheerbawani Arshid Ahmad he said that police was informed by the locals that a body is lying in the Paddy fields at Chanduna area of Ganderbal, and later a team of police was rushed to the spot and recovered the body from the Paddy fields.
He also said that his family had lodged a missing report in police station Tulmulla is missing from 31may.
The body was sent for the post-mortem In District Hospital Ganderbal and after conducting all legal formalities, it was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
Ganderbal police has registered a case in this regard and further investigations have been taken up.KNZ
