Ganderbal 21 Dec (KNZ): In its continued efforts to curb illegal mining in the district Ganderbal, the Geology and Mining team headed by District Mineral Officer,Majid Aziz Bhat seized 5 tractors involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minor minerals.
The operation was carried out by Geology and Mining Department in various areas of Sub-division Kangan including Gund,Ganiwan,Surfraw,Yechama,Mammer and adjoining areas as a result of which 5 vehicles were seized.
These vehicles were being used in illegal mining, extraction, transportation of raw materials illegally extracted during this operation.
DMO Ganderbal Majid Aziz Bhat,said that all the illegal mining cases would be dealt with under the rules and all the things against the violators would be done by a FastTrack system.
The operation against the illegal mining and transporting is going on in different areas of the Ganderbal district.KNZ
