Bandipora 24 Aug (KNZ):To engage youth and Children of the AOR in Games and Sports and other extracurricular activities, Dagarpura COB of 5 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion (JAT) organized Inter Village Youth Engagement Programme at Dagarpura. A number of events were organized including Badminton, Carrom, Chess, Tug of war, King of the Ring, Kho Kho, Banana Race, Lime Spoon Race, Musical Chair and Jalebi Race where the young boys & girls of various age groups took part with enthusiasm showcasing there skills and talents.
The event witnessed the jubilant participation of youth who took this opportunity to refresh their minds from prolonged lock down. The locals and elders appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the COB for keeping the safety precautions of COVID-19 while conducting the events.
Deputy Sarpanch, Dagurpura, Mr Nazir Ahmed Sofi lauded the efforts of the Army for conducting such an event so as to engage the youth constructively. Prizes were distributed at the end of the programme to encourage youth and children who have participated in the events.KNZ
