September 28 The National Investigation Agency of India and Jammu Kashmir Police are reportedly investigating the role of 60 students for taking part in stone-pelting and “provoking violence” during the students’ protests in April 2017, of which reportedly 35 have already been questioned.

In April 2017, Students of Pulwama Degree College were thrashed by troopers and the video went viral which evoked a massive reaction from Students throughout the Kashmir valley. The incident provoked Kashmir students to come out on the streets to protest the ‘barbaric” violence against the students.

NIA recently summoned A Kashmir university student named Aala Fazili.

Agencies however are not questioning Fazili only. The Firstpost reported that the Jammu Kashmir Police and the NIA are looking into the role of nearly 60 students, including a PHD scholar of Islamic Studies, in fanning unrest against the government inside the University of Kashmir campus.

The All Jammu Kashmir Students Union through their recent press release have demanded the early release of Fazili or otherwise they will go for protests, they warned.
