Ganderbal 27 Sep (KNZ):Geology and Mining Department Ganderbal today wee hours laid crackdown at various locations of Ganderbal and seized 8 vehicles for illegal mining.
DMO Ganderbal Majid Aziz Bhat said,8 vehicles seized involved in illegal mining
He said after seizure the vehicles were kept in police custody till the realisation of penalty as per the mining rules.
He further said,the teams also checked the enforcement of notified rates of minor minerals and advised consumers to purchase minerals from legal sources only and stay away from illegal miners.KNZ
