Handwara May 09: In order to combat the menace of drugs, Police in Handwara deploys GPS enabled anklet on bailed out UAPA accused person for better surveillance to track his movement.
In compliance to an order received from Hon’ble Court, Police in Handwara today affixed a GPS tracking device on a bailed out accused person in UAPA case of Police Station Handwara. The accused was arrested in a UAPA case and has been bailed out recently. The GPS anklet will be used to monitor the movement of the accused and ensure that he doesn’t violate the bail conditions.
