Ganderbal:The Drugs and Food Control Department in Ganderbal hosted an awareness program in observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. This event was organized in collaboration with the Government Degree College (GDC) Kangan and the Chemists and Distributors Association of Kangan and Ganderbal at Auditorium of GDC kangan.

The program aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of combating illicit trafficking.

On this occasion, the Principal of GDC Kangan was the chief guest. Other notable attendees included ADC Ganderbal Nigeena Akhtar, Drug Inspector Shah Hadiya, President of the Chemists Association Ganderbal, and various other dignitaries and GDC students.

In her address, ADC Ganderbal Nigeena Akhtar emphasized that while drugs can have legitimate medical uses, the misuse by today’s young generation poses significant health risks.

She urged the youth to steer clear of drug abuse for their well-being.
