Ganderbal:In order to provide safe/wholesome food to the customers in general & tourists/yatries in particular the Food Safety Officer Kangan today conducted extensive/effective market checking/ inspections of all dhabas enroute to Baltal who are serving prepared food or ready to serve food.
During the said drive, two dhaba walas fined Rs. 3000/= on spot under the provisions of FSS Act-2006 for serving unhygienic/ expired food to the customers. Also some perishable/expired food was destroyed on spot.
The drive shall continue in the whole district and FBOs that are found violating FSS, ACT-2006 shall be dealt with strictly under the said Act.
