Bandipora,Sep 28: Former MLA Bandipora and NC-Congress alliance for Bandipora constituency candidate Nazam-ud-din Bhat on Saturday alleged that alliance workers in Bandipora are being harassed, detained continuously.
Addressing media at his residence in Bandipora Bhat said that the Bharatiya Janata party wants to repeat what happened in 1987 in Kashmir valley by detaining workers alliance workers.
Alleging the Election commission of India for remaining silent on the detention of his workers selectively, Bhat alleged them for remaining silent on this issue and said they have reached them several times but not received any positive response.
Targeting police for detaining their workers who are now actively participating in political activities instead of taking guns bhat shared that their voices are not getting heard.
“The Election commission should answer this immediately why his workers are getting detained”, he added. “We have already lost a lot of things as we are now in the mainstream . We request the Prime minister of India not snatch the right of democracy,”.
He further added, this process began last week the forces are now used to protect other party mobs during the night hours to remove our posters. “We are being forced to get permission for everything and give answers for small things,”.
Bhat demands early release of his workers so that they can take part in the elections without any fear.
