Shopian, August 7 (KB): Killora Malikgund-Rampora (Trenz) road has been in a deteriorating condition for over a year, with locals accusing the PMGSY of neglecting the much-needed repairs.

Speaking to news agency Kashmir Bullitin, residents expressed their frustration, for the road’s deplorable state, which has made travel difficult and hazardous.

Despite numerous complaints to the PMGSY, no substantial action has been taken, said locals.

“I have contacted the department multiple times and even lodged a complaint on the PMGSY portal. Although they assured me that the road would be repaired soon, months have passed without any progress,” said one of the local resident.

Another resident said, hardship faced by the elderly and patients, “The road is practically impassable. In emergencies, we are forced to take alternate routes, which adds to our difficulties,” he said.

The locals have urged the district administration to address the delays and ensure prompt repairs, hoping for relief from the ongoing ordeal. (KB)
