Baramulla, Oct 11 : In continuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police have arrested one drug peddler and recovered Contraband Substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Post Watergam headed by IC PP Watergam SI Bilal Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad Shri. Aabid Rashid Mir-JKPS and SHO PS Dangiwacha Insp. Khalid Aslam, during patrolling at Hadipora Laiser Crossing apprehended one person namely Mehraj ud Din Mir S/O Abdul Khaliq Mir R/O Chijhama Rafiabad.
During the search Police Party was able to recover 32 grams of contraband charas like substance from his possession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 66 under relevant sections of Law has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha & investigation has been initiated.
Sopore police urges the common masses to give information regarding narcotics or any other crimes to the nearest police establishment or dial 112.
General Public is requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per the law.
