Srinagar, Nov 3, KNT: Ravinder Raina, who recently lost the assembly elections from Nowshera constituency in Jammu and Kashmir, has been replaced as the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir unit.
Sat Sharma, has taken over as the new president of BJP’s J&K unit.
“This change in leadership comes after Raina’s tenure, which began in 2018, had exceeded its expected duration,” the party said and termed the replacement a routine affair.
Raina’s new role will be as a BJP’s national executive member.
Notably, the BJP today is going to elect the Legislature Party Leader for Jammu and Kashmir Assembly in Srinagar. [KNT]
