DDC Chairperson presides over main function in Kangan

GANDERBAL, NOVEMBER 15: District Ganderbal witnessed vibrant celebrations of Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, marked by enthusiastic participation from people of all walks of life, especially the tribal communities of the district.

The event organized at Kangan highlighted the government’s commitment to uplift the tribal population through various welfare schemes and initiatives.

Prominent resource persons and district officers from diverse departments shed light on government schemes tailored for the welfare and development of tribals. Their presentations were aimed at creating awareness and encouraging active participation among the attendees.

Adding to the charm of the event, a series of multicultural programs showcased the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the district. The celebrations also featured departmental stalls, where officials displayed products and informed the general public about various schemes and benefits available to them.

The DDC Chairperson, Nuzhat Ishfaq, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Mohammed Manshah Khakhi, a renowned Gojri writer, State Awardee, and recipient of accolades from the Hon’ble Prime Minister during the Mann Ki Baat program, was the Guest of Honour.

The event saw immense audience participation, reflecting the strong community engagement and enthusiasm for tribal welfare and cultural preservation.
