Baramulla, Dec 25 : In a continued crackdown on drug trafficking, Baramulla Police apprehended a drug peddler at Azadgunj Chowk and recovered 200 grams of charas-like substance from his possession.
The operation was conducted by a team from Police Station Baramulla, led by the SHO, during a checkpoint inspection.
The suspect, Mubashir Mohiuddin Dar, son of Gh Mohiuddin and a resident of Azadgunj near Grid Station, was intercepted and found carrying the illegal substance.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
Police have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to drug peddling by contacting the nearest police station or dialing 112.
Authorities reaffirm their commitment to curbing the drug menace and ensuring the safety of the community.
