Ganderbal | 13th June:In a determined move to uphold traffic discipline and public safety, District Police Ganderbal has launched a strict enforcement drive against vehicles found plying without valid registration plate numbers. The initiative comes in response to rising concerns over blatant violations of the Motor Vehicle Rules which pose a serious threat to both road safety and security.
Acting firmly, the police have seized multiple vehicles operating without proper registration and initiated legal proceedings against the offenders. Authorities have made it clear that such violations will not be tolerated and that similar action will continue under the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and other relevant laws.
Vehicle owners and drivers have been strongly advised to ensure their vehicles display valid and visible number plates at all times, failing which their vehicles will be seized and strict legal action will follow.
Taking a step further, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal, Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, issued a stern warning to stunt bikers, urging them to refrain from dangerous stunts on public roads. He has directed field formations to take stringent action against such violators without delay.
District Police Ganderbal has appealed to the public to support their efforts in maintaining law and order and to report any violations at the nearest police station or through the Police Helpline (ERSS Dial 112).
"Together, we can ensure safer roads and a more disciplined society," a police spokesperson emphasized.
