Sonamarg, May 31: The Sonamarg Beopar Mandal Association organized a farewell function in honour of outgoing SHO Sonamarg, Afaq Ahmad, in recognition of his dedicated service and contribution towards maintaining law and order in the tourist destination.

The event was attended by Association President Furqan Shera, office bearers, members of the Association, and prominent traders of the area. Speaking on the occasion, the members appreciated the professionalism, cooperation, and people-friendly approach of SHO Afaq Ahmad during his tenure in Sonamarg.

President Furqan Shera lauded the officer’s efforts in ensuring a peaceful atmosphere and maintaining close coordination with the local business community. He wished Afaq Ahmad success in his future assignments.

In his address, Afaq Ahmad expressed gratitude to the traders and residents of Sonamarg for their support and cooperation during his tenure. He thanked the Association for organizing the farewell and said the affection shown by the people of Sonamarg would always remain memorable.

The function concluded with the presentation of a memento to the outgoing officer as a token of appreciation and best wishes for his future endeavors.
