Srinagar: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday trapped two employees of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹5,000 and subsequently conducted a raid at the residence of an In-Charge Superintending Engineer (SE) of the corporation in Srinagar.
CBI team caught Sajad Hussain Bhat, In-Charge Dealing Assistant, and Javid Ahmad Ganie, a Consolidated Worker, both posted in the office of the Executive Engineer, Left River Works Division (LRWD) of the SMC, red-handed while allegedly accepting the bribe amount.

the CBI team onducted searches Ox the residence Of Er Sajad Kawoosa 1ear Gurdwara Shaheed Bunga in the Bhagat Barzulla area of Srinagar. Sources alleged that the bribe amount was purportedly meant to be channelled to the officer.
Er Kawoosa is presently serving as Executive Engineer and is also holding the charge of Superintending Engineer in the Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
