Srinagar, July 10, KNT: A 30-year-old hotel cook was found unconscious in the bathroom of a hotel in the Indra Nagar area of Srinagar and was declared brought dead after being shifted to SMHS Hospital on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Amin Malla, son of Mohammad Yousuf, a resident of Papchan, Bandipora.

Officials said the owner of the hotel rushed the employee to SMHS Hospital in an unconscious condition, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

According to the statement of his attendants, Mohammad Amin was found lying unconscious in the bathroom of the hotel before being taken to the hospital.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the cause of death. [KNT]
