Baramulla, July 17, KNT: A 55-year-old man lost his life after being struck by a falling poplar tree in the Mamusa area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmad Ganie, son of Mohammad Sadiq Ganie, a resident of Mamusa.
According to officials, the man sustained critical injuries when a poplar tree fell on him. He was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital Pattan, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated legal proceedings. [KNT]
