Ganderbal, July 27 (KNZ/TMJ): An elderly woman was killed after she was hit by a JCB machine in the Badarkund area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday, officials said.
An official told Kashmir News Zone – The Media Journal that the woman sustained critical injuries in the incident and was immediately shifted to District Hospital Ganderbal. However, doctors declared her brought dead on arrival.
The deceased was identified as Hajra, wife of Abdul Ahad Reshi, a resident of Reshipora in Ganderbal district.
Police reached the spot soon after the incident and initiated legal formalities. A case has been registered, and further investigation has been taken up to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident, officials said.(KNZ/TMJ)
