GANDERBAL, AUGUST 09: The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign commenced across District Ganderbal today with enthusiastic participation of students, youth, government employees and the general public, marking the beginning of a week-long celebration of patriotism, national unity and pride in the National Flag.
As part of the inaugural activities, various programmes were organised across the district in which students and children participated with great enthusiasm. Patriotic songs were presented by students, while the National Anthem and Vande Mataram were sung at various venues, creating an atmosphere of national pride and collective participation.
Tiranga rallies were also organised at different locations across the district, with students, youth, officials and members of the public participating enthusiastically. Carrying the National Flag, participants raised patriotic slogans and spread the message of national unity and respect for the Tricolour.
The campaign is being observed from August 09 to 17, 2026, with a series of activities planned across the district, including door-to-door Tiranga campaigns, mega Tiranga rallies, cyclothons, cleanliness drives under Swachhta Pakhwada, patriotic competitions, Tiranga exhibitions, cultural programmes and awareness activities.
Educational institutions across the district are actively participating in the campaign through patriotic programmes, essay writing and painting competitions, cultural activities and awareness events aimed at encouraging students and youth to connect with the spirit of the national initiative.
The campaign is also witnessing participation from various departments, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Urban Local Bodies, youth clubs, Self Help Groups, market associations, civil society organisations and other stakeholders, with activities being organised at district, block, panchayat and institutional levels.
The District Administration has called upon citizens to participate enthusiastically in the campaign and ensure that the Tricolour reaches every household, while observing the Flag Code of India and maintaining due respect and dignity of the National Flag.
The campaign will continue across the district till August 17, with a series of patriotic and public participation activities aimed at strengthening the spirit of national unity, pride and collective participation among citizens.
