Ganderbal, September 8: Ganderbal Police observed Thana Diwas at Police Station Kangan as part of its ongoing public outreach initiative, providing an opportunity for local residents and youth to interact directly with senior police officers and raise their concerns.
The programme was chaired by SSP Ganderbal, and was attended by senior police officers of the district. A large number of local residents and youth from Sub-Division Kangan participated in the interaction with enthusiasm.
During the programme, police officers patiently heard the grievances and concerns raised by the public. The SSP assured the participants that genuine issues pertaining to the Police Department would be examined and addressed on priority, within the applicable rules and procedures.
The SSP also directed the officers to maintain a proactive and people-friendly approach, particularly in tackling drug abuse and other social evils. Officers were instructed to uphold the dignity and professionalism of the police force and discharge their duties with dedication, sincerity and a strong sense of public service.
The public was urged to continue extending cooperation to the Police in maintaining peace and harmony and in providing timely information about activities or individuals that may pose a threat to public safety and social order.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, with police officers reiterating their commitment to strengthening the bond between the Police and the public.
