Ganderbal, September 8: A comprehensive security and preparedness meeting was held on Tuesday in connection with the Annual Harmukh-Gangbal Yatra 2026, with SSP Ganderbal Sudhanshu Dhama chairing the meeting.

The meeting was convened by SDPO Kangan and attended by DySP SOG Ganderbal, SHO Kangan and other concerned officers.

During the meeting, the officers reviewed the prevailing security situation and discussed arrangements required for the smooth and safe conduct of the annual pilgrimage. Key issues including force deployment, logistical preparedness, disaster-response arrangements, communication challenges and contingency plans were examined in detail.

SSP Ganderbal directed the concerned officers and agencies to ensure effective coordination, adequate security arrangements and prompt response mechanisms throughout the yatra.
