Police Conduct Terror Incident Response Mock Drill in Baramulla

 

Baramulla September 16: Police in Baramulla conducted a Terror Incident Response Mock Drill at Veerwan Pandit Colony, Baramulla, under the overall supervision of SP Operations Baramulla, to assess and further strengthen the preparedness, coordination and response capabilities of security and emergency response agencies during a simulated terror incident.

 

The exercise witnessed coordinated participation of SOG Baramulla, SOG Sheeri, Police Stations Baramulla and Sheeri, 53 Bn CRPF along with K9 Team, 46 RR, OCAPS Baramulla, BSF 185 Bn, BDS, AST, Dog Squad, Medical Team, Fire & Emergency Services, GMC Baramulla and SDRF, as per their assigned roles and responsibilities.

 

The drill focused on rapid mobilisation, area domination, cordon and search, communication, evacuation, rescue, medical response and inter-agency coordination, besides assessing the effectiveness of the contingency response mechanism in handling a simulated terror incident.

 

The exercise was conducted successfully, enabling participating units to assess their operational preparedness, identify gaps and further strengthen coordinated response capabilities for effectively dealing with any emerging security challenge.
