Ganderbal September 28: J&K Police in Ganderbal inaugurated a Volleyball Tournament under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Government Higher Secondary School Gund, aimed at promoting sportsmanship, youth engagement and strengthening police-public relations.

A total of 16 teams are participating in the tournament, providing local youth with a platform to showcase their sporting talent and foster a spirit of teamwork and healthy competition. The inaugural match was played between Knight Hawks Gund and Spartan Satrina, with Knight Hawks Gund emerging victorious after an exciting contest. Principal Govt. Higher Secondary School Gund, SHO Police Station Gund along with other senior Police officers were present on the said occasion and interacted with the participating teams and local youth. The officers encouraged the players to pursue sports, refrain themselves from menace of drug addiction and actively participate in constructive activities.

Police reiterated its commitment to provide meaningful opportunities for youth through sports and other community-oriented initiatives under the Civic Action Programme.
