Ganderbal, Oct 8 (KNZ/TMJ): A 62-year-old retired government employee was found hanging at his residence in Wussan area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday, officials said.

The deceased was identified as Mohammed Amin Mir, son of late Mohammed Ramzan Mir, a resident of Wussan. He was a retired employee of the Floriculture Department, officials told Kashmir News Zone–The Media Journal.

Following the incident, a police team reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

The body was subsequently shifted to District Hospital Ganderbal for medico-legal formalities, officials said.
