Ganderbal,August 24, 2017:Secretary Education Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah held an interactive session with students of Ganderbal District, here today. MLA Ganderbal, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla, Director School Education (Kashmir) Dr G N Itoo, Director RMSA, SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone, ADDC Ganderbal, N.A Baba, Chief Education officer, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Principals of Higher Secondary Schools, ZEO’s, Head Masters, other staff members of Education department and students attended the session.
During the interaction, the Secretary Education answered scores of questions from students of various schools of district Ganderbal who attended the programme.
The students put forward their questions and issues like shortage of teachers; need to introduce more subjects, improvement in infrastructure, and establishment of counseling cells among other issues.
Mr. Shah impressed upon teaching staff of Educational institution and ZEO’s to improve results by achieving above 60% marks in annual examination. To achieve the targets he reviewed threadbare educational activities with teaching staff at the same instant, he advised students for hard work and to co-ordinate with their teachers to achieve better results.
As many as 31 All Terrain Bikes (ATB’s) were distributed among meritorious male students from District Ganderbal who qualified 10th class with and above 65% marks in annual examination.
