Ganderbal: public and civil societies welcomed the drive, hope that such drives will be conducted in future)
Ganderbal, (KPS): On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Dr. Piyush Sangla, a joint anti-encroachment drive today succeeded in its biggest ever land retrieval by evacuating more than 20 kanals of land from the illegal encroachers at Rabtar Gund-Roshan in Tullamulla of central Ganderbal.
In the day long action, the team of officers led by Tehsildar Tullamulla G.M Khatana along with other officials and heavy posse of local police, removed scores of trees and evacuated kanals of land which were erected by the illegal encroachers with the connivance of land mafia. The demolish process will continue till encroachments are removed,” official reports said.
The general public and civil society welcomed the drive conducted by joint team led by Tehsildar Tullamulla on the instructions of D.C Ganderbal and appeal to the team of officials that such type of drives should be conducted in future also.
Mr. G.M Khatana Tehsildar Tullamulla, further appealed to the general public not to encroach upon the footpaths, pavements etc. which is a main cause of inferior conditions in the areas.
The officials who accompanied G.M Khatana included Naib Tehsildar Tullamulla Mr. Mohammad Maqbool Rather, DSP Ganderbal Mr. Ashiq Hussain, DO Shadipora Mr. Towseef Habib, police and other officials,(KPS).
