Ganderbal, Aug 30【KNZ】:A massive drive against bung cultivation was launched in Shadipora area of District Ganderbal today on the directions of SSP Ganderbal,Fayaz Ahmad Lone,Under supervision of Dysp Hqrs Dr Rameez Raja
The team was headed by SHO Shadipora Mr Tawseef Habib, which destroyed the bung cultivation at Shadipora in villages Rabitar,Gund-roshan and adjoining areas in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District
When Contacted SHO Police station Shadipora Tawseef Habib told Kashmir Based News Agency KNZ that bung and other narcotics cultivation and related activities are desmentaled to save entire society, particularly younger generation.
He stressed on creating more awareness so that the drug menace is eradicated completely from the society.
The teams have been entrusted with the job to conduct random monitoring and mapping for the eradication of bang grown along road sides and river banks.
They will also map timely survey and conduct destruction of bang and bung crop in its infancy stage.
It was said that the stern necessary action as per the law would be initiated against the offenders who grow, harvest, store, transport buy/sell or deal with such illegal activities
During the drive the local public ,Senior citizens of the areas appreciated and thanked the Police for such activities.【KNZ】
