Encounter In Aribagh Area of Nowgam Srinagar Lashkar Chief Abu Ismail Among Two Militants Killed.

Srinagar-: A gunfight started between militants and government forces at Aribagh area of Kanipora in outskirt’s of Srinagar City on Thursday at evening hours.Official sources told that a joint team of SOG Srinagar and army’s 55 RR cordoned off the Aribagh area following a specific input about the presence of militants.

 

Lashkar-e-Toiba chief Abu Ismail was killed along with an associate in a brief gunfight with government forces in Aaribagh area of Nowgam on the outskirts of Srinagar on Thursday, police said.

 

 

An official said that the gunfight ensued after government forces cordoned off the area following inputs about the presence of militants.
