Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Paramilitary trooper killed, another injured in Banihal firing incident
A paramilitary Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) soldier was killed and another injured in a firing incident in Banihal area of Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, police said.
An official said that a SSB man was killed and another injured in the firing incident that took place at 7:10 pm near the Navayuga Engineering Company Base camp.
The deceased was identified as Head Constable Ram Parvesh and the injured as ASI Sham Singh.
He said that they are investigating the incident.
Unconfirmed reports said that two troopers were killed in the incident.
