DOORU, SEPTEMBER 29: Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi today conducted an extensive tour of Dooru Constituency to inspect progress of various ongoing developmental works there.
The Minister accompanied by senior officers of concerned Departments visited Kapran, Chougund, Checkiwangni, Halsidar, Lower Manda, Rangimundoo and Verinag area of the Constituency.
Andrabi took stock of macadamization works in Dooru Constituency and asked the concerned to speed up the pace of works and complete them before the coming winter season.
He asked the concerned to work in synergy and redouble their efforts and complete all ongoing developmental works under various sectors within the stipulated time frame. He also asked them to use the earmarked funds for the current fiscal in full and judiciously. He directed engineers to ensure the quality of work is not compromised with.
Interacting with the people at different places, the Minister said that the Government headed by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is committed to provide basic amenities to the people of all the three regions of the State. He said gigantic developmental programmes have been launched by the Government in the State with an aim to improve the living standard of the people especially living in far-flung and remote areas.
Referring to former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Syeed’s vision towards the development, prosperity and peace of the State, Andrabi said that the present dispensation is pushing forward the agenda of the legendary leader.
During the day-long tour, several deputations met the Minister and apprised him about various issues like issuance of timber on concessional rates, replacement of damaged electric poles, construction of lanes, drains, culverts and foot bridges, up-gradation of Government educational institutions and sanctioning of IAY cases.
The Minister gave them a patient hearing and assured that their genuine demands will be looked into for their immediate redressal.
