A woman and her younger brother were killed and two others were injured in Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK) as Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged heavy shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) on Wednesday, Dawn reported.
*“Indian shelling began at 6am in the Abbaspur sector of Poonch district and remained intense and indiscriminate until 9am,”* the report said quoting officials.
One of the shells landed on the house of one Haji Sakhi Mohammad Kiyani in Chaffar village, killing his two children on the spot, the report said.
As per the report the deceased have been identified as Zakia, 22, and Kashif, 20.
Pertinently, border skirmishes along the LoC are on increase since some time.
After every cross border firing incident along the line dividing Jammu Kashmir, both India and Pakistan accuse each other of violating the ceasefire which is in place since 2003.
