Ganderbal, Oct 22【KNZ】: The Cricket team of Hearwan beat Saloora XI in the final match of the T20 tournament organised in Shaheed Aliya Sports Stadium, Sindhbal here on Friday.
The visitors after wining the toss, elected to bat first and posted 134 runs on the board in their alloted overs. In reply Saloora XI were bundled out on 94 runs. Thus, losing the match with 40 runs.
Senior politician and AIP Patron, Sheikh GA Saloora attended the final ceremony as Chief Guest and distributed trophies and other awards among the players.
Saloora while addressing the players and large number of spectators said that sports is a vital part of the overall growth and development of Youth. He said sports keeps all the social evils and crime at bay and provides youth a progressive platform to prove their abilities by keeping themselves away from getting mislead by anti social elements. Saloora encouraged and appreciated the playing teams and extended his support to develop sports in the region.
