Ganderbal.28 Oct【KNZ】: Dilapidated Safapora to Hakbora road is troubling commuters and pedestrians.The road is full of potholes .R&B department has ‘neglected’ the area according to locals.
Irfan Ahmad a passenger cab driver said, “I drive a somu and earn livelihood for my family. My father has passed away and there is nobody in my home who would help. So what I earn, in that, it takes me a half of that out from my earnings to repair my vehicle.”
He further added, “The authorities are least concerned about suffering of people here.”
When contacted Junior engineer Munir Ahmad he,said ,“We are lacking money right now, so in this regard we have sent the approval to the R&B sumbal division.”
The incharge of concerned Assistant Executive Engineer Gulzar Ahamad said , “in the concerned area of work, we got late because of the encroachment which has been removed by the authorities “.
“Macadamization of Safapora to Hakbora will be completed in June 2018.”
