Sonamarg tourist resort gets season’s first snowfall

Ganderbal 15 Nov【KNZ】: Upper reaches of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, including the tourist resort of Sonamarg, have been witnessing fresh snowfall on Wednesday as the weather office predicted a spell of light rain in plains and light snowfall on hills between November 14 and 15.

Reports said that the snowfall began around 3 am and fresh two inches snow has been recorded on tourist resort of Sonamarg while Zojila and Thajwas galicer received 3 inches.While rains in plains at District

Meanwhile Traffic on the Srinagar leh highway was temporarily suspended since early morning after the first snow caused slippery conditions on highway.Official Said

Director Meteorological department, Sonam Lotus had predicted a spell of light rain in plains and light snowfall on hills between November 14 and 15.
