Shopian, Jan 12, CNS: A family from South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday distanced themselves from an alleged ‘scandal’ and said that it was one of their salesman who tarnished their reputation.
The son of Zahoor Ahmed Malik, the owner of Akbar and Sons Medicate shop told news agency CNS that a couple of days back a purported video from Bongam Shopian went viral in which a lady and her son alleged that my family was involved in flesh trade.
The video was allegedly shot by unknown LeT militants in which a lady and her son claimed that some people are indulging in immoral activities in the area.
“We are innocent and have nothing to do with anyone. We don’t know why our name was dragged given the fact that it was our salesman who allegedly was part of the game. The day this video went viral, the salesman has disappeared from the area and his cell phone is out of reach,” the son of Zahoor Malik said.
“Those who are blaming us should probe the matter first. We want to inform general public that we have nothing to do with the ‘scandal,’ he added. (CNS)
