The Jammu and Kashmir meteorological department on Friday forecasted a moderate snow and rainfall all over the state from February 23 to 25, An official from MeT said.
“A fresh Western Disturbance is most likely to affect J&K and adjoining area for next 48 hours. Moderate to heavy rainfall/snowfall) is likely to occur from February 23 to 25,” the official said.
Higher reaches of the Valley and Jammu region are most likely to receive heavy rain/snow which may lead disruption of surface transportation, mainly the Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
