GANDERBAL 20 APRIL【KNZ】: Fresh snowfall In Sonamarg and Zojila in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District and traffic Suspended on Srinagar Leh highway on thursday evening due to fresh Snowfall.
Fresh snowfall was recorded in Sonamarg the famous tourist-resort in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district,reports said.
According to reports said the resort recorded about one inches of fresh snowfall while as the snowfall was recorded about 6 inch at minimarg.
Reports said the plains in the valley received intermittent rains for the fourth day today.
The 434-km Srinagar-Leh highway was temporarily closed on thursday evening due to fresh snowfall at Zojila pass.
“Traffic was temporarily suspended on the highway after fresh snow caused slippery conditions and slides at few places,” said police official.
He said that the road will be opened for traffic after weather improves.
Meanwhile, Weather to show improvement from tommorrow and heavy rain, thunder showers at many places over Jammu and Kashmir said Sonum lotus.【KNZ】
